Organic Basics Fund
The Organic Basics Fund was set up by 1% for the Planet business member Organic Basics to help fight climate change, regenerate our natural resources and restore biodiversity. This is about giving direct funding to people, groups and projects that address the problems at the root cause — and aim to create long-term, real impact.
Since its launch, the Fund has supported many organizations including 1% for the Planet nonprofit member, Danmarks Naturfredningsforening (Danish Society for Nature Conservation). Together, the pair worked to restore pollinator habitats in Denmark and around Europe.
Support for Pollinators
To support the nonprofit and local pollinators, Organic Basics committed to planting over 130,000m2 of wildflowers. This goal was met by planting 50m2 of wildflowers for every order placed over black Friday weekend. Together, the pair planted approximately 30 acres, helping to restore habitat for pollinators around Europe. This partnership is supporting pollinators by protecting them from habitat loss and other threats they are facing everyday.
