La Luna Rose, a jewelry company based in Bali, has succeeded in creating a completely closed-loop system of production. All silver sourced for producing the jewelry is made from 99% recycled silver, and any leftover jewelry at the end of the season is melted down and reused for the next collection. The jewelry is completely handmade by local artisans, and all packaging is compostable, leaving nothing unaccounted for. Rosie Shelton, designer La Luna Rose, believes that humans have an obligation to give back to the planet.
In addition to producing jewelry in a closed-loop system, the company gives back by partnering with Take 3, a nonprofit focused on encouraging people to take small steps that make a big difference. The mission is simple. Wherever you go, (oceans, lakes, rivers… anywhere!) pick up 3 pieces of rubbish. Just like the mission behind creating La Luna Rose Jewelry, the Take 3 impact starts locally and makes global change.
