Love Tea, a 1% for the Planet business member, and Friends of the Earth Australia, a nonprofit member, have been partnering for six years. During this partnership, Love Tea has supported campaigns on a number of issues, including climate change, energy, biodiversity, rivers, and sustainable cities. Friends of the Earth Australia campaigns on the understanding that environmental and social issues are linked, and that both must be addressed to make positive change.
In addition to partnering with nonprofits making change, Love Tea is committed to reducing their environmental footprint. All of their Tea is Fair Trade and Organic Certified, and they are also on their way to becoming carbon neutral. Shipping and packing materials, all the way down to the tea bags, are compostable in a home compost bin. All of these changes add up to make a global impact, inspire more environmental action, and bring together more changemakers.
